CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS
I had done several bulletin boards but for some reason I always forget to take pictures. Here is one in early December as we get ready for our Winter Festival. BTW that is not a big blue blanket it's a sign the carolers are holding ;)
These are some crafts the children did. Ginger Girls, 3D stars, glass bears stuck to the window. Colorful snowflakes and marshmallow snowmen.
I went crazy and crafted the hallway. Trying to transform it into a winter wonderland. Starting with letters to Santa.
Here is how I created the Christmas lights with gimp a glue gun and tissue paper
.I put colored snowflakes on the window with glue and liquid water colors. I dried the circles on wax paper and then stuck them on the windows.
The candy land hall way
I must give all the credit to my daughters teacher Ms Karla for creating the calendar. She did a great job.
In addition to some other crafts we made ginger bread men. After making the gingerbread me we told the children to put the little men in their windows so he could help the little elves when Santa arrived. They were really excited to share their ideas of how the gingerbread man could help. In the background you might be able to see the hanging candy canes and the Chinese lanterns we made.
My daughter's class looked more like a candy house.
I did all of this myself but the real gingerbread houses were a lot more work. Here are some of the ones we did in the class.
I did the class in a gingerbread but could never get a really good photo so I will have to upload a video.. Until then enjoy,..

Amira's cupcake party
For my daughters 5th birthday I had a cupcake party at her school. I like that her friends are all there but I only get about a 30min party. I had cupcakes and popcorn and cookies for a special take home treat.
For the 2008 November 4year old party we made cupcakes before we ate them. The princess cake was too much to eat there so we took it home to eat :). We also had a pinata.
HALLOWEEN PARTY 2009
I have finally gotten the opportunity to start planning parties again. I am certainly not as great as the other bloggers but I have a hobby goal to be someday. I am oober creative and am a super great hostess. I hope my blogs inspire you as others have inspired me.
My first in a long time event was my daughters haunted house. The school had several rooms. A storytelling forest with the retelling of "One Pitch Black Very Dark Night" I even had someone jump out of the closet dressed like a wolf. There was a toxic waste glow bar, with a maze to touch slime and other creepy things, a graveyard (sand bin) where we tied candy to the end of bones with string for guest to pull out. The fog machine made it really creepy. The Karaoke dance room had classics like Cha Cha and electric slide, we even tried our hands at the Achy Breaky Heart. We had a photo stand and a game room. The game room had a Pirate Plank where friends tried the doughnut bite game, toss the candy corn in the bucket game (a fun mess), and the spider web toss game. The spider web was so cool I kept it up overnight and was the only thing I was able to get a photo of. Enjoy
